Ray & Lil Gordon, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Texas

Lil Gordon went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2009. Lil leaves behind, a legacy of a life strong in faith, gentle in spirit, and devoted to the service of others. In a letter telling about Lillian’s death, Ray wrote, " I grieve with contentment. There is nothing that God does that is not for our good.  Pray that God will accomplish His purpose in those of us He has left behind.”  Ray and Lil Gordon have held a range of leadership positions within Wycliffe, serving together for 43 years. Recently, Ray completed his work as editor of the 15th edition of the Ethnologue. He will continue to assist the current editor and do further research for the Ethnologue for a time.
