We serve a God who loves us.
Every Sunday morning at Kingdom Kids, we begin Children’s Church with this question:
“Who has a story to share from this week, something we can pray about together?”
Hands shoot up and stories bounce around the room: a happy tale about a soccer game or a visit to a friend, or concern for a sick pet or family member. The teacher listens to the stories and worries, then invites the children to join her in prayer as each anecdote is shared as a praise or request to our Father God.

What a privilege to share in the life of our children, and to have the opportunity to teach them that God himself cares about every single one of their joys and worries.
In Luke 12:7 Jesus said, “Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

This semester in Kingdom Kids, we are turning our attention to the life and teachings of Jesus in the New Testament, following a curriculum called, “The Gospel Story Curriculum.” Each week, we will illustrate a step on our Bible timeline, learning about Jesus’ days on earth, and the development of the early church after his resurrection. The children will learn each week that in every Bible story Jesus is offering his love and redemption to be part of our own stories.

We want to plant seeds that God will use to grow their faith. Our goal is to help the children approach the Bible with curiosity, engage their delight in class, and foster friendships in our church community. We use object lessons, art, hands-on projects, and time spent outdoors whenever we are able. As I mentioned, we’ll be constructing a Bible-timeline around the classroom—so stop down in a few months and see how far we’ve gotten!
