We can’t thank you enough for your prayers and support as we traveled to Kampala Baptist Church in Uganda to be a part of their Medical Missions Week. Over the course of 5 days, 2818 patients were seen and 79 people prayed to receive Christ. Here are some team highlights:
Julianna loved being part of the registration team, interacting with every patient and utilizing the Luganda greetings that her temperature taking/deworming partner taught her.

Bob reports his role with the 7-8 pharmacy staff was very satisfying. He was an important cog in the wheel of their smooth-flowing system, also utilizing some Luganda – “tula wali”, as he asked people to please have a seat. He also valued some conversations about spiritual growth that he had with a doctor, and they continue to have contact.
Dawn and Karen worked primarily with interpreters as triage nurses but also managed some significant wound care patients. Karen was impressed with the level of quality and also of kindness that the medical and dental staff provided as they ministered to patients. Dawn even dipped into our own first aid kits as she put together extra dressing supplies and provided wound care after church on our final Sunday to a man whose injured arm needed further attention.

Pastor Andrew likes to have Ned and Alan help the men from church on a facilities project during the week, and this year they were able to build a new front fence, replacing one they had helped build years ago. It was extra helpful to have a very skilled welder and some men from a boxing gym help out. Alan observed that the whole clinic and work experience is a prime example of how to love your neighbor well. Ned described the camaraderie with his Ugandan brothers as a “forever memory”.
