BG Women to Study with Beth Moore

Do you want to experience Scripture coming alive and to see its relevance to your life? You can also have the opportunity to spend casual time with BG women and enjoy a variety of delicious soups and pies. Saturdays are precious but so is this opportunity!

Scripture can inspire, heal, and change hearts and minds. This is the outcome we want from the upcoming seminar featuring Beth Moore, who will teach about Jesus being our safe harbor.

A while back, Sue Hilliker found that meeting and having a relationship with a person who loved Scripture changed her life and perspectives. Learning to love God more deeply is often intertwined with learning to love His Word, a lifelong process for most of us.

Sue has done many Beth Moore Bible studies, heard her teach once in person, and has found her to be an amazingly gifted teacher who clarifies important points in Scripture and leaves you wanting to know more as you leave. Sue recommended the idea of a live cast seminar to our deaconess board this fall.

The deaconesses’ conviction, in addition to seeing our need to be rooted and growing in Scripture, is that women need to have significant relationships with each other. Many have benefited over the years from being involved in gatherings and conferences in this region and beyond, but the upcoming one will be at Bethel Grove.

On Saturday, October 14 from 9am – 2:30pm, women from BG and the Ithaca area who’d like to attend are invited to be part of this day of teaching and interacting. The topic is Safe Harbor: Jesus, Our Safe Place in Dangerous Days, rooted in Psalm 71:3. “Be a rock of refuge for me, where I can always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and fortress.”

Who among us does not need a safe place to go in this life? All of us need Jesus every day!
Lunch will be served and those who can are asked to bring a pot of soup or a pie. You can RSVP by emailing Linda@bg.org, using the QR code, or signing up at the table in the foyer. This event is hosted by BG’s Deaconess Committee. Invite friends! We hope to see you there!
