“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10
Some of my fondest memories come from digging dirt with my friends. Whether it was fence post holes in Detroit, drainage trenches at Second Wind, or trash piles in the NY-79 ditch, serving alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ has time after time drawn me closer to the Lord.

This past summer, I wondered what it would take for my non-Christian friends to join me in digging dirt and talking about Jesus. When I shared this challenge with other students, I found myself in a team of six believers, each with a heart to help students serve Ithaca together. God has led our team to create CampusCares, an online platform where believers and non-believers can sign up to serve our community shoulder-to-shoulder. The website organizes transportation, streamlines information, and shows students where their friends are serving. Our hope is that this will give Christian students a simple way to invite friends to serve with them.

With your support, we want to unite thousands of students in generous, sacrificial love for our community. We need your help to connect us with organizations that can host service events for students. Thank you for your continued encouragement and prayers—it’s your faith and vision that inspires us to spread Christ’s love across our campus.
