We are excited to partner with Willow Glen Christian School in creating a new Homeschool Extension program. The Extension will open on the BG campus beginning in Fall of 2025, offering a full-day program for homeschool students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Our mission for this program is to offer an academically rich program for homeschoolers anchored in the faith that Willow Glen and Bethel Grove share.
Utilizing BG’s campus provides wonderful opportunities to teach place-based environmental studies and nature education. BG sits on the edge of a small gorge, surrounded by a hemlock forest. Tucked in these wild areas one can find lowbush blueberries and black raspberries in the summer, and wildlife tracking in the winter. We also have a beautiful fenced-in playground that will be utilized during recess.
Other subjects offered during the program will include art and music appreciation. Gym and physical education will bring us outdoors, from the woods to the extensive lawn behind the Family Center where there is plenty of room for running games!
As a second generation homeschooling parent of three girls, I see wonderful potential in partnering with Willow Glen to offer this program to our community. Willow Glen Christian School is a preschool-12th grade classical school located on nearly 100 acres in Freeville. WGCS offers a full curriculum as well as Bible, Latin, Advanced Placement and Environmental Education classes. Open enrollment begins February 1st. As a new growing school we encourage families to schedule tours and information sessions early to ensure a spot for next year.
If you need summer care for your children, full-time and part-time care is also available for ages 4-12!
Willow Glen will also be hiring new full and part-time teachers for the 25-26 school year. No certification required!
