Thirteen of us (9 kids + 4 adults) camped at Fillmore Glen State Park this past weekend. We cooked food over the fire, had a lavish pancake breakfast, hiked a 4-mile trail with BG Seniors and a Humprey Fellow from Ghana, swam in a nearby state park, played games together and spent time alone with God.

Our devotional nights were spent discussing a C. S. Lewis quote: “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains.” We primarily looked at being attentive to God through his word and turned Psalm 27 into our own prayer.

On one of the nights, our very own BG’s resident John “Bug Guy” Sanderson showed off his insect-ID skills. We had the privilege to hike, eat lunch and fellowship with Doug and Donna Stauffer, Jay and Deb Miller and their Ghanaian friend, Frank!
Come join us next time!
