No one would dispute that we need to learn from one another’s stories to grow in our faith. Similarly, the process of telling our stories bears witness of God’s work of grace while solidifying our faith further still. To learn someone’s story, it helps to begin with a question—sometimes lots of questions, addressing the littlest of details all the way to the issues that burn inside us.
What does it look like for a woman to put her faith into action? How have other women gotten through difficult situations? How can you trust God as a single woman? How do you make the shift to being a retiree? How have other Christian moms made it through potty-training, teenage driving, or empty nesting? What does it look like to hold onto your wedding vows after the newness of marriage fades?
The BG Deaconesses invite all ladies to gain insight from other women at our 2024 Women to Women panel discussion, which will be held on Friday, February 2nd in the church’s newly updated fellowship space. This year’s panelists, who represent every stage of life, are Christine Butcher, Donna Stauffer, Sally Sincock, Ashley King, and Karla Terry. The fun will begin at 5:30 pm with conversations over a healthy salad bar supper and scrumptious desserts. Our panelists will begin answering questions at 6:30 pm.
Consider what you would like to learn from a woman in your stage of life or perhaps one that’s in a different stage. Whether you are 18 or 98 or somewhere in between, bring your questions and join other women for an evening of encouragement, wisdom, and fun. Childcare will be provided.
Please RSVP by filling emailing staceyives1@gmail.com, or dropping by the table in the church foyer on Sunday to sign up. Let us know if you are coming solo, with a friend, or with the kids. This will help us plan well.
This event has historically been one of BG’s most popular women’s events. You won’t want to miss it.
